PFC Edward Michael "Mickey" Misiuta, USMC

Miami Springs Senior High Class of 1966, Mickey Misiuta played the position of Tackle on the Springs Varsity Football team, and was a Varsity baseball player as well. After graduation, he enlisted in the Marines on December 28, 1966.

Mickey arrived in Vietnam November 18, 1967 and was assigned to Kilo Co., 3/1st Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.

On March 1, 1968 he was in Quang Tri Province, South Vietnam. He was 20.  Misiuta was survived by his brother, Ron Zabco, father Edward J. Misiuta and  mother Catherine Misiuta of 880 E. 5th St. Hialeah.

​He was initially interred at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery in Doral, and reinterred at Arlington National Cemetery in 1983 in Section 38, Site 4192. Mickey is honored on the National Vietnam Memorial, at Panel 42E, Line 21.
