Here's the information I've been able to compile thus far. Note that anything that is either speculative or not properly sourced will be in italics.

PFC Robert Leslie "Bob" Cornell was a Rifleman attached to Hotel Company, 2nd Battalion/3rd Marine Regiment.

A native Miamian, he attended Hialeah High School and played clarinet in the marching band. He also was an Eagle Scout with Troop 534 (334?) of Miami Springs. He lived with his family at 6650 Lafayette Drive in Miami Springs.

Bob was lost April 30, 1967

He is buried at Caballero Rivero Woodland Park North Cemetery. The cemetery is located at 3260 Southwest 8th Street, Miami.

If you have photos, memorabilia, or further information regarding Bob or his family and their time in South Florida, please let me know, you can email to springsobserver@gmail.com.
